A local florist delivers flowers to Březová-Oleško

The municipality of Březová-Oleško lies on the right bank of the Vltava, about 22 km south of the centre of Prague. It had 1,457 residents in 2025. It comprises two parts, Březová and Oleško; the first written mention of both dates to 1310.

In Oleško, Maškův Mill and its millrace stand beside Záhořanský Brook. Above Oleško, the railway runs through the Vltava valley via the Skochovický and Libřický tunnels. Both tunnels date from 1881.
