Kunratice was first mentioned in writing in 1287 under the name Chunratitz. Kunratice Chateau on Golčova Street is a Baroque building that has been rebuilt several times since 1688. The Baroque Church of St James the Greater on Kostelní náměstí was built between 1730 and 1736 to a design by F. M. Kaňka. Above Kunratický potok in Kunratický les lie the ruins of Nový hrad, where King Wenceslas IV died in 1419.
