Flower delivery in Měchenice from a local florist

Měchenice lie on the left bank of the Vltava, about 20 km south of central Prague. The village is 2 km upstream of the confluence of the Vltava and Sázava. In 2025, it had 873 residents.

The first mention of Měchenice dates to 999. Prince Boleslav II donated the village to the monastery at Ostrov. The village has a sports complex with a football pitch and tennis courts.
